Who, in the zodiac, should you turn to for advice?

Turn to Aries when you want quick, to-the-point advice. But remember that Aries advice is often off the cuff, not well considered, and inclines to instant gratification and immediate action rather than the long-term. Also be prepared for a certain amount of disinterest. What you will get, however, is advice that truly gets right to the point and pulls no punches. If you need advice that isn’t sugar-coated, turn to Aries! 

Taurus advice is often heavily weighed down with tradition. However, if Taurus is forthcoming (and they are not always), you can be sure that they have given a fair amount of thought to it. Taurus can help you with patience—they will often remind you of both long-term benefits and consequences of any action you take right now. Their advice is decidedly practical. Taurus knows how to get from point A to point B in the most logical manner.

Gemini advice may not be totally reliable—Geminis are given to being playful and not hugely serious—but it generally will be bright and impartial. It may be difficult to discipline them enough to actually get them to think about your problem, but if you can corner Gemini, they do have quite a bit of knowledge (if not superficial knowledge) to draw upon. Geminis, as a rule, are not hugely attached to the past, and it would probably be wise to avoid asking their advice for anything to do with the emotions (some might even laugh at you). Still, Geminis know a little about everything.

Advice from a Cancer is generally common sense, though it is often heavily steeped in family values. Cancer has a great memory to draw upon, and will remind you about your values. Turn to Cancer for advice about money, business, and family. But do remember that Cancer’s bias is tradition and family.

A Leo truly wants their advice to be good, if not outstanding. In fact, Leo is at its best when giving advice. The simple act of turning to Leo for advice can usually win their favor. But remember that Leos can sometimes get a little carried away with themselves in their role as advisors. You can probably safely ignore their personal examples, and expect that they wouldn’t necessarily take their own advice. But, because Leo’s pride is mixed in with their advice-giving efforts, you can be sure the advice they give you is well thought out.

Turn to Virgo for your brainstorming needs—Virgo will get you all the facts and details on your problem. You can safely assume that Virgo will be honest with you, but beware that you may get a little bogged down in details and lose the big picture if you spend too much time with Virgo. Virgo loves to help you out, and you can rely on them for sound advice, but you may not come away with a solution.

Libra is notorious for not being able to make a decision. Before you skip Libra altogether for this reason, however, remember that Libra is adept at giving you the lowdown on both sides of the issue at hand. It will be difficult, however, to pin Libra down and get them to actually take a side—unless, of course, they are playing devil’s advocate.

Scorpio advice can be biting and incisive. Turn to Scorpio when you want to get to the heart of a problem and figure out motivations. But remember that Scorpio most likely has an agenda, and may not have your best interests at heart. The advice given may even show a lack of conscience, though you can bet it will be effective. Watch out for hidden motives, but trust Scorpio to bring you down to earth if your head is in the clouds or if you are being too idealistic.

Sagittarius advice will be big, and even long-winded. If you want details, you can safely expect you won’t get them with Sagittarius. They will help you get the big picture, though the advice given may border on the impractical. On the up side, Sagittarius will enthusiastically talk with you about any problem under the sun.

Capricorn-style advice is generally considerate and practical. Capricorn, after all, is one of the most resourceful signs of the zodiac. However, it can be heavily weighed down with family values and tradition. Turn to Capricorn for business and career advice.

Aquarius advice can be very scientific and up-to-date, though some may complain that it is not personal enough. Still others might consider Aquarius advice too idealistic or broad. Since Aquarius is a fixed sign, Aquarius may have some agenda—they may be trying to influence you as opposed to giving you advice. However, Aquarius is the sign to turn to if you want cutting-edge and impersonal answers to your problems. 

Pisces tends to feel you out when you ask them for advice. With Pisces’ tendency to want to make you feel good, they may say what they think you want to hear. Their advice may be skewed a little so that it doesn’t hurt your feelings. However, Pisces is a perceptive, and oftentimes wise, sign. You may be able to turn to them for more insight into any problem you have. At the very least, you can bet Pisces will want to help you out.

Fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, are associated with stabilization, determination, depth and persistence. They are powerful and willfull in all they do, often achieving much more than the other two qualities.

Fixed Signs

The Fixed Signs like stability. They want to own things. They want to be the boss and let the cardinal signs run things for them. Fixed Signs are stubborn, fixed in position. They frequently take longer to start, but they never seem to stop. Fixed Signs want everything else to move around them while they sit still. They want to maintain, uphold and defend positions, responsibilities, goals or desires in everyday situations. These signs are the least welcoming of change. They can be a bit stubborn or stuck in a rut, a down side of their ability to stay the course. These signs are valued for their consistent, loyal, devoted, reliable and patient natures. They hold strong opinions and at times they can be inflexible, but there are some areas in life that those traits are needed and even encouraged. The Fixed Signs show where in your life you will tend to stand fast under pressure. The gift of fixed signs is that they can stick with something to the end. But it’s hard for them to let go, even when something appears to be a lost cause. Fixed signs are a marvel when it comes to getting things done. Because of this they’re often able to enjoy success in whatever they set their minds to.
